Who are we?
The DuBarbetdoux Barbet Breeding Program was born from a great passion for Barbets.
Dogs have always shared our family life. After having several dogs, we were looking for a breed that was easy to train, got along well with both humans and other dogs, and didn’t shed. Our research led us to discover the Barbet.
The magic happened when we met our first Barbets. These dogs were unlike any we had encountered before—so affectionate, calm, and gentle, simply big bundles of love.
A visit to a second breeder confirmed the extraordinary temperament of Barbets.

The arrival of our first Barbet convinced us to pursue our dream of breeding.
The dogs we choose to breed meet the highest breed standards, have excellent temperaments, and are free from genetic diseases.
We are a small familial breeding program. Our Barbets are born and spend the first 8 weeks of their lives with us in the house. They are therefore accustomed to the household sounds.
We follow a puppy stimulation program from birth until they leave for their new homes.
Potty training begins outdoors, and they are introduced to crate training at night before they leave for their new home.
